You might remember back in October your local community in Rowville won Nextdoor's "Heart of the Neighbourhood " competition for having the most people tune-in to our life saving event that broke a record for the largest online CPR class in history! Thank you.

Welldue to Covid lockdown restrictionswe have been holding off on delivering your prize but the time has come!

On Neighbour Day (Sunday March 28) Nextdoor is thanking you by providing complimentary coffee and ice cream in Rowville!

Here are the details:

Location: Stud Park Reservein the car park near the football pavillion

Date: SundayMarch 28 (Neighbour Day)

Time: Coffee from 9am - 1pm

Ice cream from 11am - 1pm

Happy World Kindness Day!

Hi Everyone!

Greg here... Do you ever think that the world could be a little kinder? I meanit sounds like a utopia doesn’t it? Today is World Kindness Day and the reason I get behind it is because I honestly believe that we can create a kinder world. I believe that kindness starts within each and every one of us. We all have the ability to choose how we treat ourselves and others. Don’t get me wrongI know there are always external factors that can affect how we respond to certain experiences and situations. But go along with me for a moment…

When we treat ourselves with kindnessrather than cursing ourselves for making mistakesletting people downforgetting thingsor even when we wish things 'were different' - and the more we focus on our ownor another's imperfectnessthe more time we spend time in that space of negative thought - and I’m not saying for one second that there’s never room for improvement - because there is! Always. But the thing to remember is that we are ALL in this together and that we are ALL human – with foibles and weaknesses that need to be forgiven.

This year I am pleased to have partnered with Ralph Kelly and the Australian 'Stay Kind Foundation' to write a song for kidsbut really it's for everyone – I hope you like it. The Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation was formed following the death of 18 year old Thomas Kellywho was king hit in an unprovoked attack in Sydney’s King Cross in 2012.

I urge you to wake up every day and focus on the good things about yourselfand in those around you! That's how the Kindness Cycle starts. Creating a Kindness Cycle in your life is a great way to ensure that you stay kind to yourselfand others - it won’t take long until you see it coming back to you!
