When buying - What does GS vs SE vs NATL mean?

I've been on some dealer websites looking at inventory and I'm a bit confused.

They all list stuff like this...

4WD 4dr V8 SR5 Sport (Natl)
4WD 4dr V8 SR5 Sport (SE)
4WD 4dr V8 SR5 Sport (GS)

I'm confused on what the end abbreviations mean for each model. And also how can you have an SR5 and Sport in the same model?

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks :)

Since nobody on here seemed to know the answerI did some serious amount of posting on many other forums and someone finally got a definitive answer! :D

(Natl) = Nationwide
(SE) = Southeast
(GS) = Gulf States

Toyota changes their cars a bit for each region. Cars they sell (or are brought into) in CA have to get the special emmissions stuff...

The fact that some models are listed as SR5 SPORT means that they are the SPORT EDITIONwhich is essentially the SR5 package + extras.

I even called three dealerships and not one sales dude could not tell me the answer to these abbreviations which were listed on their own website! Lame salespeople...

I tried to add my car to my cars.com accountand the first question asked was which of these "s" my RAV4 is. I had no idea there was a "". SoI did a google searchnothing. I looked in the owner's manual and the stickers in the driver's door. I searched and found this questionstill no good answer to tell me which one my specific RAV4 Hybrid is. Called my local dealerthey have no idea what I'm talking about. Called the owner's manual Toyota Customer Service numberand the guy kept mixing up my question and finally quoted back to me what I already told him my SUV isbut had no clue what I was asking. He also told me to talk to my local dealer and there is no way that that Toyota would no. I am pretty certain the VIN should tell them what standard my car was made under. But he was clueless and seemed to know less about vehicles than I do. I finally ended it with asking to elevate it to a supervisor to get an answer. Waiting for that call. Not holding my breath. Probably will not tell me what I need to know. MeanwhileI chose Natl just because the other two designations don't seem to fit.

Seems to me if cars.com wants to knowthey should tell us how to find the information.
