We're launching a new side panel experience so Gemini in Chrome users can always have a browsing assistant at your sideno matter what tab you're in. This can help you save time and multitask without interruption. You can keep your primary work open on one tab while using the side panel to handle a different task. Our testers have been using it for all sorts of things: comparing options across too-many-tabssummarizing product reviews across different sitesand helping find time for events in even the most chaotic of calendars.

Transform images on the web with Nano Banana

We’re also bringing the creative power of Nano Banana directly into Chromeallowing you to transform images on the fly without needing to download and re-upload images or open another tab. Available to all Gemini in Chrome usersjust type a prompt in the side panel to explain what you’re trying to do. Use it to get creative inspiration for a living room redesign or transform research data into stunning infographics.

Get things done across Connected Apps

Gemini in Chrome supports Connected Appslike integrations to GmailCalendarYouTubeMapsGoogle Shopping and Google Flights. These deeper integrations help you get things donequickly. For exampleif you’re traveling to a conference and need to book a flightGemini can dig up that old email with event detailsreference context from Google Flights to provide some recommendationsand later draft an email letting your colleagues know your arrival time. These features can be enabled in the Connected Apps section of Gemini Settings.

Personal Intelligence: A more personalproactive Chrome

People have found it helpful to have Personal Intelligence in the Gemini appand in the coming months we’ll bring it to Chrome. With Personal Intelligenceyou’re always in control. You can opt-in and choose whether to connect your apps and disconnect them at any time.
