With Fifth Harmony in talks to reuniteand recently performing together at a recent Jonas Brothers concert (minus Camila Cabello) it begs the question of what the group members have been up to since their indefinite hiatus back in 2018.

Firstwe need to talk about how Fifth Harmony came to be in the first place. In 2012NormaniAlly BrookeCamila CabelloDinah Janeand Lauren Jauregui auditioned for the U.S. edition of The X Factor originally as solo acts. While the five members didn’t find success as soloiststhey were put together to form a girl group. ThusFifth Harmony was born after getting their name from a public vote.

It’s no secret that the quintet had an impact on popular culture. Fifth Harmony dominated the 2010sbecoming one of the best-selling girl groups of that time. According to the RIAAtheir debut albumReflection, and the follow-up 7/27 both went platinum. Some of their most memorable songs were “Work from Home” (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)“Worth It”,  “All In My Head (Flex)” featuring Fetty Wap“Sledgehammer”and “Down.” The group made it onto Billboard’s Top 100 Women Artists of the 21st Century Chart.

Nothing was ever the same once Cabello decided to leave the group back in December 2016. Drama ensued as it was a classic case of miscommunication. Long story shortFifth Harmony put out a statement explaining Cabello’s departure. The “Havana” singer released her statementsaying that she was taken aback by their post.

Fifth Harmony remained as a quartet for a little while after thatreleasing their self-titled album in 2017. Howeverit wasn’t long until the group revealed in 2018 that they would go on an indefinite hiatus while they pursue their solo careers.

Fifth Harmony: Where Are They Now And A Possible Reunion

Ever since The Hollywood Reporter hinted at a Fifth Harmony reunionit’s only natural for fans to wonder what the members of the girl group are up to now.

Normani

Normani came out of the gate swinging with her debut single “Love Lies” with Khalid in 2018. Throughout her solo careerthe singer has been known mostly for her singles such as “Motivation” and “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B. HoweverNormani released her long-awaited debut albumDopamine, in June 2024. It did not receive quite the same response and the buzz went away quietly. Normani revealed that she was taking care of sick family members which kept her out the spotlight the way she needed to really market the album.

Outside of musicthe songstress was a contestant on season 24 of Dancing With the Stars in 2017landing in third place. She was also a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and has been a model for several of Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty fashion shows. Recentlythe “Dancing with a Stranger” singer got engaged to football player DK Metcalfafter Ciara and Russell Wilson connected the couple together.

Ally Brooke

Brooke’s single “Perfect” featuring Topic became her debut as a solo artist. While she has released a few singles as wellthe musician has confirmed that her debut album is on the way. It will be titled Mi Música and sung completely in Spanish. Similar to NormaniBrooke also competed on Dancing With The Stars on their 28th seasonfinishing in third place. Her artistry goes beyond the music industry as she wrote a memoir titled Finding Your Harmony in October 2020. The Texas-born native also has a petite-sized clothing line with JCPenney. On May 3Brooke married the love of her lifeWill Braceywho is the CEO of the Bieber family.

Dinah Jane

After dropping her debut solo single “Bottled Up” in 2018Jane geared up to go on her first solo headlining tour in 2020but due to the coronavirus pandemicit didn’t happen. While putting out singles here and thereit was in August 2024 that she released her debut EP  JUICE COUNTY: VOLUME 1 as an independent artist.

Lauren Jauregui

Jauregui released her debut single “Expectations” in October 2018. Like Normanishe joined the Birds of Prey soundtrack with her track “Invisible Chains.” The singer released two EPs: Prelude (2021) and In Between (2023) independently under her indie label Attunement Records. In 2021Lauren was featured in the HBO series A Tiny Audience. Recentlyshe told US Weekly that she is ready to release her debut album later this year.

Camila Cabello

Cabello’s solo career has been the most consistent out of the Fifth Harmony members. Releasing her first solo single “Crying in the Club” in 2017 and other hit singles like “I Have Questions,” “OMG” (feat. Quavo)“Havana,” featuring Young Thugand “Never Be the Same,” the singer proved herself to be on the rise as a solo act. Opening for Taylor Swift on her Reputation tour in 2018the songstress went on her first solo headlining tour later that year. Cabello has received three Grammy nominations and won four VMAs. She has released four albums: Camila (2018)Romance (2019)Familia (2022)and CXOXO (2024). The artist has also turned to actingstarring in the 2021 Amazon adaptation of Cinderella and voice acting as Viva in Trolls Band Together (2023).

Is Fifth Harmony Getting Back Together?

Multiple sources have told The Hollywood Reporter that Fifth Harmony is set to reunite in 2026 minus Cabello (as she no longer has rights to the Fifth Harmony name). Insiders say that the group is set to have a documentary showing their return to the stagecapturing footage from a tour that will be announced. It is said that Will Bracey will be leading this reunion. While it is too soon to say what will happenmembers JaureguiBrookeand Jane had their own reunion at a Sparks game recently.

Fans have also wondered what Normani’s possible return to Fifth Harmony means for her career. After being public about her experience in the groupcomparing it to a “prison sentence,” fans are wondering why Normani would ever want to return. Some fans see this as a step back for Normaniwhose debut album didn’t make the waves that critics and fans thought it would.
