Audio Problems with Movies on Amazon Prime

The last couple of movies I have streamed on Amazon Primethe voices were very low in the mix - downright hard to make out. The first one was "Diner," so I chalked it up to 40-year-old moviemaking. The other night I streamed "Uncut Gems," which is only a year or two old. Same problem - the voices were lost in the mix of all the background noisemusicetc. This timeI switched over to Apple TV to watch itto see if there was a difference. Sure enough - the voices were much easier to make out on Apple than on Prime.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with movies on Prime? I'm assuming the problem is not the settings on my equipmentbut I'm open to any thoughts or theories. For the recordI have a 2022 LG OLED G-Seriesand we use a Sonos Arc for our TV audio. Thanks.

It's been a while since I streamed a movie from Prime. There are too many other available choices. HoweverI don't recall having any dialogue issue with my Prime streaming in the past (most recently Star Gate Atlantis).

I've been watching season 3 of Jack Ryan on Amazon Primeand the audio sounds perfectly clear to me. Mind youI'm using an Apple TV 4K Gen 3 streaming box. But even on my old Gen 1 boxI didn't have any issues with audio on Amazon Prime. It may be the streaming app on your TV or other device that's at fault and not the streaming service. Good luck.

I have been having issues with volume on A prime videos. Just watching new Road House and even though my system and the site has the sound at top end. It's up and down. I am constantly changing volume. This is on my TV/computer not on the phone App.

I’m having the same issue with Amazon Prime Video and stumbled on this thread in my search for answers. I have a Samsung Q990D soundbar and spent a lot of time fine-tuning the sound for my space. Ever since I’ve made adjustments everything we’ve watched has sounded fantastic with clear voices and generally well-rounded audio tracks. The other night we tried watching “Challengers” on Amazon Prime Video and the voices were nearly inaudible when the background noise and music sounded perfect. I’d have to crank up the volume to hear the voicesbut when a song or some other noise happened it would be so loud that we’d jump and scramble to turn the volume down. Truly awful experience and we ended up turning on captions to be able to enjoy the movie I’m using an AppleTV 4K and the audio on every other streaming app sounds amazingbut titles on Amazon Prime Video are nearly always problematic. Anyone know what the deal is?
