Get my hands on an early-looking stopwatchnickel-plated casea relatively small dial when compared to the caseno signatures found on the dialthe small subsidiary minute register dial can only record a maximum of ten minutes.(minute totalizer hand moves anticlockwise when activated)
No hallmarks found inside the case apart from a serial number: 152672.
Simple movement, nothing remarkableplain brass balance wheel with cylinder escapement.
Movement has a snap-on glass dust cover.
Overall appearance resembles a jockey club timer from late 1800s
Hope someone can shed some light on the actual identity of this watch. Many thanks!

Hi John,

I just came across your post just now and can answer your enquiry.

Your stopwatch/horse timer has the same design to the one used by the Wright Brothers to time their "Flyer" at Kitty Hawk in 1903.

It is a Leon Breitling design and was manufactured by Gallet. It may have been made as early as 1891

You can find more info from this thread:

Hope that helps!
