Which one are you planning on using for your purchase and why?

Can 2024 be played outside the Steam client?

Thanks!

Steam!

Updating the MS Store version of MFS2020 was shall we saynot intuitive. Steam version is one click and done...

I went with Steam for 2020. It was handy because I could use prepaid steam cards to purchase marketplace items. I'm undecided for 2024 but leaning towards the steam version. I do like if you buy from Microsoft you also can play it on xboxand if you get it for xbox you can use it on PC. I don't have an xbox rigth now but you never knowlol.

MS Store/Game Pass.  I've used Steam since the very beginning as a long time PC gamer (Orange Box anyone?)but I have had no issues on the MS Store.  I have Game Pass anyway and it comes through that.  I also get MS Points through their rewards program.  Plus you can often find Xbox gift cards on sale and get a few extra bucks off things.  I own an Xbox too so it just makes senseeven though I only use MSFS on PC.

Nothing wrong with Steam though either.  If I didn't have an Xbox and Game Pass already I would probably stick with Steam.

I was told in threads herethat you will lose what you own if you switch from Store to Steam or vice versa. In other words your stuff in content manager will not transfer from the Steam in game marketplace to the Store in game marketplace. That's what I asked about here twice. And that's what I was told twice in these forums.

I have Premium on Microsoft store and I was going to get Premium on Steamso marketplace purchases from Microsoft store are not available in Steam? Surely they are tied to your Microsoft account and not anything related to Steam?

Genuinely ridiculous decision.

I believe there's some sort of legal reason why.

Do we have a source for this? I can understand anything purchased via Steam not working on MS. But the other way around is illogical.
