Anna Marie Gallagher is the Executive Director of the Catholic Legal Immigration NetworkInc.(CLINIC). She has practiced immigration and refugee law for more than three decadesworking in the United StatesCentral Americaand Europe. She helped found an international nonprofit focused on accompanying and advocating for the rights of internally displaced persons and returned refugees in Guatemala called Center for Human Rights Legal Action (Centro para la Acción Legal en Derechos Humanosknown as CALDH). Gallagher received her juris doctorate from the Antioch School of Lawher master's in advocacy from Georgetown University Law Centerand her bachelor's from Temple University. She has taught and written on issues of immigration and refugees in the United States and abroad. Born in Philadelphiashe is the daughter of Irish immigrants.
