Bring back the classy alu chassis of the early 2000sFFS !
Think about it this way.... would you buy a high-end kitchen applianceor audio gear with tempered glass and RGB blasting out of it? Could you imagine the automotive equivalent to a PC gamer case? Even game consoles adhere to proper industrial design and contemporary asesthetics. Why is this tackyobnoxious gamer look so ubiqitous and enduring?I thought this trend would have died out years ago. I truly don't get it and do not understand the appeal.
ThoughI would prefer for the alternativeswith these glass pannels to be swappped with solid steel ones instead.
The vector casessomewhat remind me some of the In-Win cases.
While some of the models had internally unnecessary complications and design choises adding some limitslike most of the cooling power of the case for parts producing small minority of heat outputall were externally classy looking.
Also with pretty much full metal construction there's hardly anything to "rot" and fail.
You could also upgrade I/O ports and there were plenty of upgrade parts available.
I even swapped whole top panel of my PC-A71B to one for newer model with bigger I/O panel opening for more ports and upgraded to USB3 ports.Have to wonder if it's for compensating something?
Or maybe all those colourfull lights just disable what little functional brain cells and logical thinking ability Homo Consumericus has...
I would we perfectly fine with old smaller window in side panel showing main components and even few modest brightness LEDs in there as accent.
But there's no slightest attempt in controlled/balanced designs.
And instead of having real selection of actually different cases available on the marketthere's now basically only X+Y+1000 "Me too!" copies of same tasteless general design theme!
