From a broad perspectiveI liked the movie's conceptwhich is why I rated it as high as I did. HoweverI do think there were too many people and parallel stories at the same timewith little room to breathe when jumping back and forth between the events as they unfold. I wondered how this story dealt with itand as it turns outwhile other movies lean on the mystery of the assassinationthis deals with the ordinary men and women who made history by being its witnesses to it in the days beforeduringand afterwards. This was an exemplary filmdespite all the years that have gone byI don’t think there has been a movie that captured the JFK assassination with better class than this. Others have long exploited itthe worst being Oliver Stone’s disgraceful conspiracy filmbut thisthough subtlebrilliantly depicts it justice. No doubt this was meant for Oscar baitbut it was worth it. It didn't push any sort of narrativesit was just a reenactment of the events that weekendwith a bit of the focus on the hospital as opposed to the focus being on Leeor Daly Plazaor JFK's lifewhich is were I feel a lot of people get lost. What I appreciated about this movieis how it showed the strain on the Oswald family. Regardless of what you think happenedwho you think did itetcyou have to understand his wifekidsand brother didn't deserve to go through being outcasted because of it.
