Please help. I am sure someone can tell me what the 4 Beeps means. I just put in a gallon of oil into the reservoir. It seems to be shooting out water fine. But every 5 min or so it beeps 4 times.

It means you are low on oil in the small tank mounted on your motornot the one in the boat. The sensor is located on the top of the little tank on the motor. The big tank on the boat supply's oil to the little tank on the motor and it supply oil to the motor. If the little tank gets about 1 to 2 inch's low it will give the 4 beep indications.

You can add oil or if you run the boat oil tank emptyyour lines will have air in them so the best way is put your boat on mickey mouse earsthe ones you hook a water hose toand start your motor and loosen the cap on the little tank on the motor and when oil gets to the topshut the motor off and tighten the cap. Don't put to much torque on the capthey have been known to break.

it can be one of many things. I would bet that it is water in the fuel. Mine has been doing the same thing. I found the sensor and unplugged it until I can get back to North Texas Marine. They told me since the prices of fuel have gone up they see this often now. Tells you something about the fuel quality huh...

Just had one doing that Yesterday. Water in the fuel. There is a screw on fuel filter that has a sensor on the bottom. As mentioned before unplug it and see if that stops it.

I hope it is the oil thing and not bad gas. Any way to know if it is bad gas?

You guys need to be watching for this. With more and more ethanolthere will be more water in the tank.

It is more than likely water in the fuel filter. I have an 07 opti and I left the gas tank lid open in a rain storm. The fuel filter is on the port side of the motor and has a red castle nut looking fixture. Unscrew that and clean the gas ou of itand replace with a new one or clean thaqt one out with fresh gas. Mine does it everynow and then. Maybe this will help you.
