As soon as a few tankers pass through the Strait of Hormuz the panic and speculation will be kicked to the curb. The administration is making arrangements to help with insurance and will also have the Navy escort tankers. What is Iran going to do considering we sank their navy and destroyed their air force. Answer? Nothing. They're not going to do anything but die if they try.

If gas has gone up 60 cents and I use 10 gallons that's...$6.00. I agree with you. It's not going to keep me off the lake. I lose more than $6 in the cushions of my couch. I just paid $3.52 for a Starbucks coffee that I could have made for 8 cents at home. So what?

LNG production will be down 20% for at least a few weeks because Qatari production is off line. That shouldn't push energy prices up in the US as much as the rest of the world because we don't need to import itbut who knows? As with oilif we don't pay as much as Europe and Asiaour producers can export it. It's a global market. When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022our fuel prices spikedbut I don't remember our food prices spiking as much as it did in the rest of the world. Maybe it did? I don't remember.

When I bought my new F250 in Jan of '25I weighed the differences in Gas vs. Diesel motors. I opted for Gas. Gas prices have been reasonable to me in the $2.30-2.60 range so my gas bills aren't that bad. The tradeoff with Diesel is that it is more expensivebut better mpg performance at the end of the day. NowI am glad I chose the 7.3L gasser since diesel seems to have crept up higher than gas.

It will all level out in a month or two. The Iran mess needed to be straightened out.
