Textnow has met my bending needs. It offers a free version (no credit card to sustain unless/until/if u make a purchase) and an option to upgrade for even more optionsif your specific needs require. I prefer Textnow than it’s alternatives and I’ve tried many. Others have you download their app only to blast you with hidden fees or shortchange the options you expect. I never trust an app that corners you into entering your card info while your streaming the free version. TextNow is beneficial when you don’t want to give out your main number in avoidance of spam or pesty callers. It also provides the opportunity to separate your professional and personal calls. I have chosen to lock my number in for a small yearly fee. That’s not necessarybut after years of using the free version I realized I wasn't being played by the app. I felt comfortable enough to enter my information and make this small purchase. you can use the app without securing your numberbut you do risk having to change your number if someone swipes it during a time you’re not active for multiple weeks consistently.I can mention plenty more ways to benefit from TextNow and why this app is a great tool but after giving you the comfort to trust themIll let you find out how it adapts to your specific needs on your own. Great for when you have somebody who likes to block you! Hahahaha I love this app because nothing is hidden. It does what it says and works great for my needs. I gave it 5 stars for claiming free and it actually is. Job well done.

There was a times when I my phone would just be ringing off the hookhalf would be my family and friends the other half would be the women I was dating. Based on I’m an important person I couldn’t just go without answering my phone because with family and friends I’m someone who’s always being called upon. However with the women I found myself entertaining physicallymentally and emotionallyI became a hot commodity,,,,, I had to find a way to separate my business from pleasure when it came to my phone because there were times when I couldn’t even get anything done due to my phone being utilized for business and pleasure. I thought about buying another phonebut who wants to pay another bill????? plus that’s too much to keep up with anyway. Then I found TextNow and what a relief it was to get a second line and be able to manage my personal life keeping my business and pleasure separate. Now when I feel like I don’t wanna talk to anyone. I just shut down my second number on my TextNow app. With the second lineI don’t never have to worry about my family not being able to get in contact with me because my personal line is always open.

I absolutely love TextNow as a service. Unlike other appsthere’s no catch to it. All you do is make free texts and callsno credits or payments involvedno time limits or message capsjust puresimple communications. Sure it might show you some adsbut there’s no full ads that I’ve ever seen. All of the ads I’ve seen are banner ads or ads that appear as a panel in your next messagesand that are completely unobtrusive (though ugly.) I do find how ads show up in the main menu for my contacts and conversations. Just opening the appyou see ads. When you’re in public and open the appthe first thing that pops up in the screen is a banner ad. It’s quite embarrassing to be honest. I feel like keeping ads INSIDE the texts would be much better as I only see them when I choose to open a message or make a call. Alsothe lack of a dark mode is very uncomfortable for someone who has very sensitive eyes and can’t look at bright things directly for an extended amount of timeand as someone who prefers the dark aestheticit’s unappealing. I can easily see a dark mode appealing to a lot of other peopleso it would be great if it was a feature. That’s it. The app may be an eyesore to somebut for me it’s only a two star deductionand it doesn’t look that bad. The service itself is very capable for being completely free and it’s great even as a primary phone number.
