Buy / Purchase table

    This is mainly a matter of register. In English we have many words which are pretty much synonymsbut often one sounds more formal than the other.

    In this case "bought" sounds more every-day than "purchased". They are both useable but I'd tend to use "bought" in a chat with a pal and "purchsed" in a formal letterespecially a letter of complaint!
     
    I dont think there is any difference. Just two ways of saying the same thing. However I would say them like this -

    I bought this table
    I purchased this table

    I would leave out the "have"
