Margot Robbie’s L.A. Bungalow Has Serious ‘Wuthering Heights’ Energy
She’s set to call Thrushcross Grange home in the upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heightsbut Margot Robbie’s IRL coastal California home (and Australian getaway!) is just as breathtaking as the two grand homes featured in Emily Brontë’s classic novel. The Australian-born actress now lives full-time in Southern Californiaand within the past decadeshe has bought and renovated three homes with her husbandTom Ackerleyin the Venice and Los Angeles area.

Margot Robbie Has at Least 4 Homes Under Her Belt
Margot and her husband purchased their first 3,300-square-foot property in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles back in 2017. The four-bedroomsix-bathroom home was built in 2016 and featured sweeping ocean views from the primary bedroom. The space is light and brightwith a loose New England aestheticpunctuated by salty blues and more traditional woodworking. According to Homes & GardensRobbie sold the property for $3.4 million in 2021.
But in 2018Robbie purchased a mid-century two-bedroomone-bath Hollywood Heights bungalowwhich she renovated while filming Mary Queen of Scots. Renovations included updating the kitchenrefinishing the home’s hardwood floorsand painting both the interior and exterior walls. She sold the 945-square-foot home in 2021 for $1.2 millionbut rented it out for three years priorper reports published by The New York Post.
Robbie also formerly owned a vacation home in Queensland’s Tallebudgera Valleywhich just recently sold in July 2025 for $4.9 million. It’s a rustic spot that sits on over 7 acres of land and features a guesthousea cedar hot tub and saunaa quiet yoga huta private creekvegetable gardensfruit treesand so much nature to soak in while you’re there.
Margot Robbie’s Venice Beach Bungalow Home
CurrentlyhoweverMargot and her family live full-time in a $4.75-million-dollar home in Venice Beach that she purchased in 2019according to an interview that the actress gave to Vogue Australia. It’s actually a compound- property featuring three concrete buildings — a cottagea two-bedroom bungalowand a kitchen and office building with a loft.
In a 73 Questions video she filmed for VogueRobbie walks through the propertywhich also features a center courtyard with a dining area. Like her first homethe space is light and brightwith coastal accents (including two surfboards) and touches of bluewood tonesand gold.
Grand estates are kind of Robbie’s thingso it totally makes sense that she added Wuthering Heights to her roster. The cozy coastal vibes are strong in her interior design aestheticand as one person commented on her 73 Questions video“Margot Robbie’s house looks like her,” they’re so right!
