My whatsapp chat history with media is over 20GB since 15 years ago until now.

I plan to delete the account and re-register again with clean base. But I need to maintain the chat history with media in PC so when I need to search back some infoI can gather back from the PC in according to the chat history with specified person.

Anyone did it before and please recommend.

Don't think PC can do that. Need to maintain all the history and media on phone. Buy a phone with larger storage and transfer WhatsApp using phone close. If restore from cloudhave a chance of missing items.

May be there is third party software can do so? because i wanna delete the account and to have everything to backup first and restore in a PC so I can search back the chat history and media that I want in the future.

Text messages very lightweightusually a few MB only. You can move whatsapp media folder from phone to pc and next day the whatsapp backup will only backup what's left inside your phone. The deleted media will show as blur image if you scroll back. It shows download button but you won't be able tounless you copy back to phone. If don't want to copyjust search the image up on pc using name and date.

yesdun want to use that number anymore but it is more than 15years. Many important info with others which might be needed afterwards.

I hope there is a way to disable image backup. I just want text.

i disable auto downloadand only view images on web whatsapp. if there's unimportant pictures i view on phonei'll straightaway delete after viewing to save phone space. give it 2-3 monthsyou'll find that the original image won't be available in phone (web whatsapp can only view history of the past 2-3 months). u try to download it tells you to ask original poster to reshare image

can elaborate more? what else do you need as media will also be saved
