Ipswich Witches 2026

Pretty sure we’re Doyle and Brennan at 1 and 5. Three others for a 36 point top five.

This time last year we started daily announcements of the teamwhich was all confirmed BEFORE the AGM.

Can’t see that happening this year..

14.91 for those two would leave 21.09 and the only way Brennan finds himself @ No.5 is by Ipswich having 3 x 7.00 Assessed Riders in the engine room.

Chris Louis must have something up his sleeve that's being kept out of public eye imo.

Could beBut I'm going on GSA's whilst asuming it's 36.00 for the Top 5.

21.09 for three riders after Doyley & Brennan if that is the ruleEven King & Rew would still leave 8.40.

Interesting little nugget in today’s Speedway Star regarding Brennan. The good news from his personal sideis he expects to be back and ready to ride by the start of February so his plans for 26 hasn’t changed.

Butmaybe it won’t be Ipswich after all in UK. Maybe I’m reading too much in to his commentsbut it sounds to me like somethIng new?

”There’s no difference to my team plans for 2026. I’m already back with Vastervik and Bydgoszczwhich I’m happy about”.

”I’ve got to sort out England still. The way it’s lookingit should be a really good option”.

Said it wasn't a certainty.

36.00 Limit gives Chris Louis a decision to make....Doyle @ No.1 or Doyle @ No.5?

I must be missing something that you're reading into it.

To meit says nothing different for 2026.  Already back with Vastervik and Bydgoszczso just the Ipswich deal to sortand then no difference from 2025

2026 will certainly be interesting. The league currently looks a bit of a shambles. If true that the agm has been put back to January then something drastic must be going on.

If the premiership runs with 6 or 7 teams are we looking at a rebuild at Ipswich?

No Emil that’s been confirmedrumours of Thompson going to Leicester & Brennan possibly up in the air.

I think is certain that Doyle will return & most likely King. Are we then looking at 1 of Ellis/Rew with Edward’s as the R/S or number 7. Then 3 newcomers?

Heard a little whisper a week or so ago that Louis was looking closely at the SGP 2 talent for recruitment. The Norwegian lad who’s name escapes me was one we are apparently looking at.

I still say Bewley @ No.1.

I think the One Rider Over 8.00 Rule will come into play in the PREM as well to ensure that Northampton are competitive.

If that’s the case then perhaps it would better all around if he went there?

Not for IpswichNeed a replacement for Emil.

I do get your point though and playing devils advocate if they did want Bewley to go to Northampton to help with crowd levels then they'll have to bring in a rule stating 1 GP Rider Per Team so Ipswich can't go for him unless they released Doyle.

They would have to tell Bewley where Northampton are riding first .🤔

Can't believe Ipswich would let Dan Thompson gothat would be madness

Chris Louis wont over pay what he thinks a rider is worth and the rumours are Leicester have offered Dan more then Ipi were prepared to paymuch the same as last yr when Rew was offered a better deal by Birmingham.

If that's the case then I agree with Ipswich here.  Rider costs/demands are helping British Speedway to go down the plughole.
