I have used iTunes for many years on a 32 bit laptop and have 160gb plus of music ripped from personal CDs. I recently bought a new laptop running Windows 11 at 64 bit. I am unable to install iTunes. I have installed Apple Music which has pulled across all my existing music but I do not have a facility to rip more music or then transfer to a mixture of iPhonesiPad and old iPods. Any suggestionsplease?

Hi Jim,
I've tended to favour the standalone installer for myselfnot least because I maintain a user tip with links to each new build. That said I don't think there is much in it if whatever you've currently got installed works. The Microsoft Store version should update silentlythe standalone version allows you to walk back to an older build if the current one has a new bug that affects you. Some users seem to have more issues syncing with one version and switching sometimes helps.

I'll be betting a new laptop w/ Win11 vs. my current Win10 in a few months and am starting to lay out a strategy
for trying to keep my sync. working between Outlook 2021 and my iPhone 13.
I have the store version on my Win10 laptopbut with updates disabled.
That way I can try and maintain version control.
On the new machine I'll go with the stand-alone installer.

Thanks for all the responses. That has solved my problem. iTunes installednew CD ripped and downloaded to both my phone and an iPod. The only first world problem is that the "album info" setting allowing you to import photos of album artwork has gone. Heigh ho!
File > Library > Get Album Artwork should attempt to get album artwork from the iTunes Store as long as you are signed into your Apple ID. Or select some tracks and use Ctrl+i to get Song Info. The small square at the top left can be used as a destination to paste in artwork you've downloaded from the web.

Thanks. That presupposes the item is available in the store. Like I sayfirst world problembut you used to be able to save a picture fromsayAmazon and upload into iTunes under the "Album Info" tabwhich no longer appears. You could also edit the title or other info about the album under the same tab. Very useful for avoiding the problem of "Various Artists" under the artists listing where someone does a track featuring someone else. I suppose that's progress!
Still there. Edit > Song Infoor use the Ctrl+i shortcut. See Change song and CD information in iTunes on PC - Apple Support. The tabs and fields displayed vary slightly depending on whether you have a single or multiple tracks selected. The small square at the top left can be used to paste artwork for multiple tracks.
