Our love affair with Italian food is long-term. In 1965a wise man called Peter Boizot knew pizza in London could be better. So he shipped over an authentic oven from Italyopened the first-ever PizzaExpress and got to work serving the great pizza the UK deserved.

When our founder Peter Boizot settled in Rome in 1960he fell in love with the food and the drink. He recognized that pizza is a wonderful thingbut a pizza with a good glass of wine is a kind of perfection.
Ever since thenwe’ve put as much thought into our drinks as we do to our food. Our list is carefully chosen to pair perfectly with our pizza.
It’s a never-ending and very enjoyable mission. But our goal remains what it’s always been- to bring you authentic Italian gourmet pizza and artfully crafted drinks.
