At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat MandapamNew Delhithe Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) participated in a panel discussion on “AI for Oceans: DataModels and Governance,” highlighting the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in advancing ocean science and India’s Blue Economy vision. The MoES teamled by IMD Director General Dr. Mrityunjaya Mohapatra and Cdr P.K. SrivastavaScientist G & Adviser (MoES)along with Ambassador of Norway H.E. May-Elin Stener and other distinguished experts and dignitariesengaged in discussions on leveraging AI for improved ocean observationforecastingclimate resilienceand sustainable marine resource management.
