Kidman teams up with Jamie Lee Curtis to executive produce and star in ‘Scarpetta,’ a drama show based on Patricia Cornwell’s eponymous novel series. 2. Practical Magic 2 (September 182026)

A sequel to the cult romantic fantasy drama ‘Practical Magic’ (1998) is in the pipeline at Warner Bros. Both Kidman and Sandra Bullock are set to return and reprise their roles as witch sisters Gillian Owens and Sally Owensrespectively. Both actresses are set to produce as wellalthough no plot has been revealed yet. Susanne Bier will direct it. The first part (based on Alice Hoffman’s 1995 eponymous novel) shows how the sisters are deprived of true love after a curse befalls themwhich kills any man who gets romantically involved with themand how they get rid of the curse. As per producer Denise Di Novithe sequel is adapted from Hoffman’s sequel novel ‘The Book of Magic,’ which centers on Sally’s daughterswho have grown up but are unaware of the Owens cursewhich spells death for the men they fall for. The cast also includes Lee PaceJoey KingMaisie WilliamsDianne WiestStockard ChanningXolo Maridueñaand Solly McLeod. Post-production is underwayand the movie will be released on September 182026.

3. Big Little Lies Season 3 (2026)

Both Kidman and Reese Witherspoonwho played two of the five leads in Season 1 and Season 2 of the hit crime dramahave made it clear that Season 3 is happening. Their confirmation is supported by HBO CEO Casey Bloys. Howeverthat’s all we know for now. Considering that the two actors were joined by Laura DernShailene Woodleyand Zoë Kravitzwe can expect they will be backtoo. The five women together make the lead charactersupper-class moms hailing from MontereyCaliforniawho are suspects in a murder case. The series is based on Liane Moriarty’s 2014 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name. It is slated to arrive in 2026although a specific release date is awaited.

4. Margo’s Got Money Troubles (TBA)

From showrunner David E. Kelley (‘Big Little Lies’)‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ is an upcoming 8-part series produced by A24 and will stream on Apple TV+. Kidman and Elle Fanning have been roped in for the project that is based on the upcoming novel (slated for June 11 publication) written by Rufi Thorpe. Kelley will be adapting it for the screen. Kidman is executive producing along with Elle and her sisterDakota Fanning.

The plot follows Margo Milletplayed by Ellewho is a former pro-wrestler who always knew she had to live on her own without anyone’s support. She enrolls at the local junior college and gets into a brief affair with her English teacherduring which she gets pregnant and keeps the baby. On the verge of getting evicted and all out of cashher estranged fatherJinxknocks on her door and moves in with her. She then decides to open an OlyFans account and uses Jinx’s advice from the world of wrestling to make a compelling character out of herself and have people like her. Soonshe tastes successbut the question is: is she prepared for it? Kidman will presumably play Margo’s motherwho is a Hooter waitress. The cast also includes Nick OffermanMichelle PfeifferThaddea GrahamLaura San GiacomoLindsey NormingtonMichael AngaranoMarcia Gay Hardenand Greg Kinnear. The series is currently in its post-production stageand more details are awaited.

5. The Young People (TBA)

Kidman will star alongside Tatiana Maslany and Heather Graham in Osgood Perkins’s horror movie ‘The Young People.’ While the storypenned by Perkinsis under wrapsit reportedly centers on a couple of school friendsone of whom starts to develop red flag behavior. Kidman and Elle Fanning have been roped in for the Paramount+ legal drama series ‘Discretion.’ The show is based on a yet-to-be-published short story by ‘The Husbands’ and ‘Whisper at Work’ author Chandler Baker. She is also adapting her own work for the small screen with Susannah Grant. The story is based on real experiences and centers on a Dallas corporate attorney who navigates the high-stakes world of law while balancing personal and professional challenges. Filming is slated to begin in 2026and more details are awaited.

7. Girls and Their Horses (TBA)

Kidman is the only revealed cast member of the upcoming Prime Video drama series ‘Girls and Their Horses,’ showrun by Jenna Lamia. It is based on Eliza Jane Brazier’s novel. The murder-mystery is set in the beachside equestrian community of Rancho Santa Fe in Californiacentering on the newly wealthy Parker family as they aim to position their teenage daughters in the sometimes-deadly world of competitive horse riding. Currently in pre-productionthe show is yet to receive a release date.

8. Here One Moment (TBA)

Kidman will star in a series adaptation of Liane Moriarty‘s new novel ‘Here One Moment.’ The mystery thriller will see a routine flight turn bizarre when passengers mysteriously start dying after learning their death dates from an unseen entity“The Death Lady.” This leads some of them to have radical life reassessments as the predictions start unfolding. The series is in its early stages of developmentand more detailsincluding the rest of the cast and crew and productionare awaited.
