    How to Change Display Language in Windows 10


    The display language you select changes the default language used by all Windows features like Settings and File Explorer.

    This tutorial will show you how to change the display language for your account in Windows 10.

    If you have a single language edition of Windows 10 installedyou will receive an "Only one language pack allowed" or "Your Windows license supports only one display language" message when trying to change the display language.

    OPTION ONE

    Change Display Language in Settings


    1 If you haven't alreadyyou will need to install the language pack of the added language you want to set as your display language. (see screenshots below)

    2 Open Settingsand click/tap on the Time & Language icon.

    3 Click/tap on Language on the left sideand select a Windows display language you want in the drop menu on the right side. (see screenshots below)

    4 Click/tap on Yessign out now or Nosign out later for what you want to do. (see screenshot below)

    The selected display language will not be applied until you sign out and sign in next.

    OPTION TWO

    Change Display Language in PowerShell


    1 If you haven't alreadyyou will need to install the language pack of the added language you want to set as your display language. (see screenshots below)

    2 To See a List of All Currently Installed Language Packs

    A) Open an elevated PowerShell.

    B) Copy and paste the DISM /online /Get-Intl command into the elevated PowerShelland press Enter. (see screenshot below)

    C) Make note of the language tag (ex: "en-GB") of the installed language pack you want to set as your display language (ex: "English (United Kingdom)"). (see table below)

    3 To Change Display Language

    A) Open PowerShell.

    B) Type the command below into PowerShelland press Enter. (see screenshot below)

    Set-WinSystemLocale <language tag>

    Substitute <language tag> in the command above with the actual language tag (ex: "en-GB") from step 2 for the language (ex: "English (United Kingdom)") you want to set as your display language.

    For example: Set-WinSystemLocale en-GB

    C) Type the command below into PowerShelland press Enter. (see screenshot below)

    Set-WinUserLanguageList <language tag> -Force

    Substitute <language tag> in the command above with the actual language tag (ex: "en-GB") from step 2 for the language (ex: "English (United Kingdom)") you want to set as your display language.

    For example: Set-WinUserLanguageList en-GB -Force

    4 Close PowerShell.

    5 Sign out and sign in to apply.

    I downloaded the en-US Pack and Removed en-UK Pack.
    I signed-out and back in and then downloaded the en-UK Pack [ I checked the Set as my Display Language box ].
    I signed-out and back in and the en-UK Pack was still NOT available in the drop-down.

    NOT to worryI can live with it.
