Beautiful Campground

We were in this campground for 2 weeks. It was beautiful and had the best view of most of the campgrounds on the lake. I loved waking up to seeing the lake and the water every morning. I only gave this campground a 4 because of the turn arounds. After parking our 40ft 5th wheelwe realized where we needed to turn around was going to be tight. We practiced and discussed the best way to get out. When the time came we had a heck of a time getting the RV turned. It was so tight that the 5th wheel was only 1 inch from hitting the cab and the axels on the RV were in a bind (the tires looked twisted). I would stay here againwith a much smaller RV. Until thenwe will be avoiding this campground.

Family getaway

Been going here since I was a kid and now I take my kids every year. It’s quiet but it could use more campsites with a beach area and maybe updated bathrooms. Still love it though

Great view!

Great open panoramic views. Plenty of sun. Restrooms clean and lanes to sites were cleared of debris after recent storms. Expect the sound of boats going full tilt nearby around spring break. Not much of anything to block the view or wind for that matter. If your gear came with ground pins/ stakesuse them. Site #52 is a walk to the bathroom. I really like old federalthe view the staffand the price.

On the lake

It is a very nice park with spots on the water that you can pull your boat up on a beach and leave it. Very clean with hot showers and rest rooms. Swimming beach available. Water and power but no sewer dump station available. Lake Lanier is a beautiful lake

Great first impression

Seems like every spot has shade...except for mine. Coveting neighbors' spots but mine is great!. Water and electric are available at my tent spot (bring an extension cord or 2). Gorgeous view. Fire ring and picnic table included. Cell service is awesome here.

Amazing Campground

This is without a doubt the nicest campground we've stayed at. Most spots are on the water. They also have nicely mowed grass and some trees. Campground is VERY clean. Nice level spots also. We did some driving around to pick out our favorite spots. We stayed at spot #71 which is without a doubt the nicest spot in the whole campground. We will be returning September 17th and will be staying for 14 days. Can't wait. In my opinion the 3 best spots are 70,71 and 72. Actually any spot in the loop we stayed at (spots 62 to 75) are awesome. We also liked 33 and 61.

Great locations on Lake Lanier

Great locations right on the lake. Our friends have a boat slip at Lake Lanier. They were able to pick us up right at our campground site. The views of the lake are awesome. We had a spacious spotbut some are right on top of each other. There are some spots that have outstanding viewsbut you have to reserve those well in advance. Those book up fast. Our site was shady and most sites offer some shadebut there are some in direct sun. There is a beach area for swimmingbut you can swim in the lake anywhere. We swam in the cove near our site. We also kayaked at the cove. There was some loud music one night. We didn’t want to disturb the staff about it. Lake Lanier is known for parties. The park is older and bathrooms were datedbut clean. There’s not other activities other than the lake itself. It’s a small campground. The campsite was paved and level.

Great campgroundunfriendly staff

Every site we’ve stayed at has been great. They vary in sizebut most have easy access to the water. Bathrooms are well maintained as well. The staff can have a grumpy side and aren’t always the most welcomingbut overallit’s a great place we frequent often.
