    The Least Populous U.S. State is Wyoming with 584,057 residents. Vermont has the second fewest residentsfollowed by North DakotaAlaskaand South Dakota.

    The Wealthiest U.S. State is New Yorkfollowed by MassachusettsWashingtonCaliforniaand Connecticut. The wealthiest is the District of Columbia (Washington D.C.)where the GDP per capita is 2.2 times higher than in the state of New York.
