Jake Paul has never been one to hold back when it comes to criticizing the UFCand his latest rant remains no exception. The social media influencer-turned-professional boxer has once again made his thoughts clear on the current state of UFC.
Jake Paul calls out UFC’s state in recent rant
RecentlyUFC has drawn criticism for several reasonssuch as the declining quality of UFC cards and Dana White publicly defending the use of AI in promotional videos. During his interview with Ariel HelwaniJake Paul also took shots at the UFC’s stateclaiming that it has “lost touch” with its fans.
The 29-year-old said“I think there’s a lot of weird things happening over at that organisation. I believe they’ve lost touch with the pulse of their fans and making the fights that people want to see. I think fans are starting to not be as happy with the way things are runand the fights that are being madethe cards that are being put together.”
Paul continued“Just hearing the people speak… and obviously I don’t know anything that goes on behind-the-scenesbut you can also feel that as well.” He stated that he has been a fan of the UFC since he was 12 or 13.
“I’ve also noticed a difference in the organisation. It’s hard to say exactly what that isbut it just doesn’t have as much hype anymore,” he said. Last monthhe called the UFC “greedy” and also criticised the organisation’s matchmaking decisions.
During a discussion on This Past WeekendPaul said“Not smart enough … Just look at what he’s doing! You don’t get Jon Jones on the White House card? First of allJustin Gaethje is going to lose to Ilia [Topuria] on the White House card. So you have a Spaniard beating a white American on the patriotic White House card? Big mistake.”
Questioning why they were not paying Joneshe claimed“They’ve gotten greedyand they’ve forgotten their hearts as a company.”
