Even though Godzilla and King Kong are the most famous kaiju in movie historywe haven't seen the two titans square off for 50 years. But after decades of waitingthe rematch of the century is finally here.

Since Godzilla vs Kong is the fourth entry in the MonsterVersethe 12th Kong movieand the 36th film in the Godzilla series (yesthere has been that many)the hype to see the alpha predators slugging it out was inconceivable.

And to ensure Adam Wingard did both franchises justicehe stuffed the film with everything possible including new monsterscity-toppling brawlsbonkers concepts like Hollow Earthand a showdown with (SPOILERS but not really because we saw it in the trailer) MechaGodzilla.

Viewers were so focused on the battle between the king of the monsters and the eighth wonder of the worldthey probably missed some of the fine details.
