Shell V-Power Motorsport Parkformerly known as The Bendis an international award winningstate of the artworld-class motorsport facilityoffering major spectator eventsadrenaline filled experiences and unique accommodation.
Developed and primarily funded by the Peregrine CorporationSouth Australia’s largest private companyconstruction started on The Bend in November 2016 with the main motor racing circuit completed in April 2018. In 2023 The Bend struck a 10-year venue naming rights deal with the renowned Shell V-Power brandbringing The Bend ever closer to the world stage of motorsport.
The Bend is unique in having all motorsport disciplines ‘through the one gate’including circuit racing for cars and motorcyclesan international Group 1 Dragway that recently set the fastest and quickest Top Fuel quarter-mile run in Australian HistoryAustralia’s only purpose-built drift circuit; a karting circuit; a rally-cross circuit; driver training facilities; a 4WD adventure park and a rally/off-road facility.
Serviced by a central Welcome Centre featuring an auto gallery of unique cars and motorbikesvisitors can enjoy a meal at Apex Bar x Dining overlooking Pit Laneand stay on the track in the 100-room Rydges Pit Lane Hotel. A BIG4 Holiday Park also caters for holiday makers with campingcaravancabin and dormitory accommodation options. The motorsport park plays host to international eventsnational series racinggrass roots club eventsdriver safety training and corporate driving experiences.
The main racing circuit design has been inspired by some of the world’s most iconic circuits with a combination of technical corners and fast and flowing sections to ensure good racing. The circuit is Australia’s only track to comply with the latest FIA Grade 2 and FIM Category A standards.
There are up to 7 circuit configurations ranging from 3.4 to 7.77 kilometres in lengthwith the GT Circuit being the second longest permanent circuit in the worldafter the Nurburgring (Nordschleife) in Germany.
Located within the Murray River Lakes and Coorong regionvisitors wanting to explore the surrounds can feed lions at Monarto Zoowakeboard at Murray Bridge or stop-in at wineries in Langhorne Creek.
