Favorite sports app out there

The layout is easy and quickhas enough articles to keep me entertainedand the BIGGEST plus is that it's the only sports app I've found that shows what station a game is being played. That actually is the biggest separator between other apps. I'm giving it a 4 because stats is a little lackingnot sure how easy it is to bolster thatbut it bothers me. AlsoI loved when it had trending games. It was removed a whilebut it still REALLY bothers me they got rid of it. I used to open the app and see a big college football game was coming upthen an NBA gamethen college football. Cool. 3 big games coming onand what channel they were onclose the app and be happy. Now I have to manually check ALL the games across all the sports. I can see if they never had itbut they did and removed it >:-<

Yahoo Plus Allows COLLUSION

RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER RESPONSE: I did write to that email address and demonstrated through evidence that there was a very high chance of collusion. Yahoo vetoed the 2nd trade - which was lopsided but not overly so compared to many non-collusive trades - and wouldn’t provide a word of explanation as to why. If it’s not for collusionthen half the trades made would then be subject to veto. The first trade these 2 colluding teams made involved 8 players and the team that got the windfall is now in a virtual tie for 1st. And Yahoo just allows that. It’s a joke. This is a $250 buy in league toowas gonna do $500 or maybe $1000 next yr. Yahoo provides not a word to inform as to any explanation or the criteria used to assess trades. Have been using Yahoo Fantasy Sports for 20+yrs but this is my last. In a $250 baseball fantasy league and 2 owners - one of whole was in dead last both times - made lopsided trades that favored one. That owner went from 8th to first. The second trade - which was imbalanced but not much more than a typical lopsided trade - was vetoed by Yahoo. Yet they’re not disqualifying both teams even though one team already reaped the benefits of the first trade - an 8 player one - and they’re almost certainly gonna do shenanigans again. Was considering $500 or even $1000 leagues next year but never gonna do Yahoo pro again.

I have told Yahoo! about the same “bug” and yet nothing gets done?!?! When commenting all the sudden the app looks like it’s “searching” or “refreshing”(The Searching thing pops up and in the middle of the screen it stays!!)and you are unable to post your comment. You can continue to type BUT you can’t fix any mistakes or postyou can’t get out of commentingThe only thing that you can do is close the app and open it back up again. Yahoo will not allow you to comment if your comment doesn’t meet their guidelines yet Yahoo writers can write whatever they wantThey can voice their opinion about any and all athletescoachesTeam owners or whoever and regardless of how wronguntrue(I could prove writers have written false articles if I could post a screenshot here)the article is it is still allowed to be posted. Yahoo will allow. Divisive commentsYet if I want to call another commenter out for his/her ignorance I am the one not allowed to comment. Yahoo will “suspend” your commenting privileges alsoyou won’t be able to comment on certain articlesOh and it’s obvious why those articles can’t be commented on also Yahoo 🙄 bottom lineYahoo has lost its waylike the other sellouts

Score widget is a major problem

While the layout of the app and the frequency of notifications (not too manynot too few) made Yahoo Sports my preferred sports appthe removal of the regular score widget from the today view was too much of a problem. The replacement widget shows limited information and only periodically updatesrendering it effectively unusable. If the original widget was returnedI wouldn't have a major problem with the app. But the issue is at the core of why users download sports appsand therefore the app no longer justifies a download.UPDATE: The development team appears to have made some small changes to the widget but have not addressed the problem. Until the original widget returnsthis app doesn't have much use for most users. The CBS Sports app comes the closest to the experience the Yahoo Sports app previously provided both in terms of widget and overall UI. For those who no longer find Yahoo Sports useful given the aforementioned issuesthat's my recommendation.
