  Bio

  Courtney is a graduate of an independent schoolSt. Mary's Episcopal School in MemphisTNand has worked in independent schools since 2001. She received her BA from Colorado College in 1997and following a brief stint on Wall Streetshe joined the Alumni and Development Office at Collegiate School in Manhattan in 2001. She worked for Collegiate for 10 years serving as the Director of Development before relocating to HoustonTX with her husband and three kids. She joined the St. John's Advancement Office as Director of Alumni and Communications in 2012 and became the Director of Admission in 2014. Courtney serves as an advisor in addition to her responsibilities in the Admission Office. She is also a parent of three SJS lifers. She feels fortunate to be a part of the SJS community and enjoys sharing her love of SJS with prospective families.

  Bio

  Nikki has over 35 years of experience working in education. After earning her B.S. from Texas A&M in 1990she worked in the public school system for 7 years before making her way to St. John’s in 1997. During her time at St. John’sher range of experience has included teaching mathematics in the Middle and Upper Schoolsponsoring student clubsand coaching volleyball in the Upper School. She began working in the Admission Office in 2001and while she still teaches two classes in the Upper School and is an advisorshe interviews and counsels families through the processoversees ISEE testing for applicants grades 5 through 11and works with families who are applying from out of state or country.

  Bio

  Tahra brings nearly 20 years of experience working with children of all ages. After graduating from the University of Virginiashe relocated to Houston and served as Associate Director for a nonprofit supporting children with life-threatening illnesses. In 2010she began working in Houston’s Independent Schoolsinitially in development before transitioning to admissions. Tahra joined the Admission Team at St. John’s School in 2014 and currently serves as an Upper School advisor. As a parent of two St. John’s studentsshe deeply understands the importance of finding the right school fit for each child. Tahra is passionate about connecting with prospective students and their families and enjoys sharing what makes St. John’s such a special place.

  Bio

  D’Hania has been associated with St. John’s since her brothers entered in 1995.  She joins the Admissions Team after a 23-year career in the United States Army. She brings multifaceted life experiences as a retired Lieutenant Colonelfrom overseas deployments to Korea and Iraq to working in the Department of Admissions and Department of Mathematics at the United States Military Academy. D’Hania earned a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences from the United States Military Academy at West PointNew Yorkand an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School in MontereyCalifornia. In addition to AdmissionsD’Hania is involved with the everyday life at St. John’s working as the Director of Community Engagementan Upper School math teacherand an Upper School advisor. She understands the academicphysicalsocialand spiritual rigors necessary for success and believes St. John’s offers an excellent foundation for becoming a well-rounded global citizen.

  Bio

  Jeremy joined the St. John's community in 2016 bringing with him extensive experience in college admissions and counseling. Jeremy began his career in admissions at Trinity University and later served as Director of College Placement at TMI Episcopalboth in San Antonio. In 2022Jeremy joined the Admission Team at St. John’s. With over 20 years of experience in college and independent school admissionsJeremy values the importance of finding the right fit at every stage. As an Upper School Advisor and veteran chaperone for Class 6 and 8 tripshe has seen firsthand how St. John's nurtures student growth and a love of learning—on campusin the Texas Hill Countryor camping under the stars in Utah.

  Bio

  Jennifer is more than familiar with the traditions and community of St. John’s as her family has a long history of graduates. Jennifer is a U.T. graduate with a degree in finance. Prior to coming on board at SJSshe focused her time not only volunteering as a St. John’s parent but also chairing the River Oaks Garden Club Azalea TrailZoo BallTheta Charity Antiques Showserving on the Junior League executive committeeFriends of Fondren boardROCC Women’s board and St. John’s the Divine associate vestry. Jennifer says the best part of her job is getting to share the positive experience her family had at St. John’sserving as a resource for students and parents in terms of what to expectand answering the many questions families have when considering St. John’s.

  MeeMee holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of California at Riverside and brings over 10 years of experience working in education. While at Lanier Middle Schoolshe was in charge of the student information system and assisted students in applying to independent high schools. Prior to joining the St. John's Admission OfficeMeeMee served as the Upper School Registrar at The Kinkaid School. As the proud parent of an SJS alumMeeMee is passionate about helping families navigate the application process.
