Cooking ingredients
You may find yourself following a recipe and discovering you don't have the required measuring implement to hand. Oryou may prefer measuring in metric or imperial measurementsrather than the alternative. If either of these are the casewe've got your back with our cooking and baking unit conversion tool.
Our tool allows you to convert from standard cooking units of volume such as the tablespoonteaspoon and cup to units of weight such as grams and pounds. You'll notice that if you are converting between units of volume and weightyou will require an ingredient density figure. The reason for this is that it's not a straight conversion - a unit of weight is different to a unit of volume. As an examplea cup of milk will weigh far more than a cup of flour.
Converting between cupsoztsp and grams
As well as this overall converter for cookingwe also have individual tools availalbe for the following:
If you're following a recipe and wondering how big a dashpinchsmidgen or nip arewe've written a dedicated article about these small measurements.
