Olivia Rodrigo has transformed from Disney star to pop queen in just a few short years. In 2021her debut album Sour became a hit record of breakup anthems for yearners and ragers of all ages. Part of the album’s power is that each song is filled with clues that fans are thrilled to examine as they try to deduce who in Rodrigo’s life inspired them.

The 20-year-old has had several public romances so farincluding some with high-profile co-stars. Below are all the men that she is known to have datedup to her present boyfriendLouis Partridge.

Ethan Wacker: 2019

Back in her Disney Channel star daysRodrigo worked with actor Ethan Wacker on their show Bizaardvarkwhere they started off as friends. The show premiered in 2016and in 2019the couple shared in a now-deleted Instagram that they had been dating for six months.

For a whilemany pictures of the couple appeared on their respective timelinesbut later in 2019they all started disappearing. Yesthe young couple had split but remained friends. Howeverwith the release of her hit song“Drivers License” in 2021Rodrigo sparked rumors that the subject of the damning lyrics was Wacker. He denied it in a now-deleted TikTok video.

Joshua Bassett: 2019-2020

From BizaardvarkRodrigo moved on to the Disney+ seriesHigh School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Once againlove blossomed on set with her co-star Joshua Bassett. The pair dated from 2019 to 2020so there was a lot of speculation that Rodrigo’s songs were about Bassett as well. After they splithe went on to date pop star Sabrina Carpenter.

On her song “Driver’s License,” Rodrigo sings“And you’re probably with that blonde girl/Who always made me doubt/She’s so much older than me/She’s everything I’m insecure about.”

Carpenter is blonde and four years older than Rodrigo. StillRodrigo denied that Carpenter was referenced in the track. In March 2021the Sour artist told Radio.com“I think we’ve met once or twice in passingbut I’ve never had a conversation with her...I don’t think I could write a song that was meaningful or emotional about somebody that I don’t know.”

Bassett is also a songwriterand he added more fuel to the rumors. His track “Crisis” is said to be about Rodrigo. In ithe sings“Half the shit you’re saying’s only half true/Messing with my life as a career move/I can’t help but wonder why you won’t make it end?”

In June 2021Bassett told GQ“The reality is it’s kind of like a lost cause trying to talk about any of that stuffand I refuse to feed into any of the bullshitso I just don’t. [Everyone] is asking me about Sabrina and Olivia. Why don’t we focus on these women for who they are? Let’s focus on the art that they’re making and how great they are instead of their relationship to a boy.”

Adam Faze: 2021-2022

Around the same time as Bassett’s interview with GQRodrigo started dating music producer Adam Faze. They attended the Space Jam 2 premiere together and were seen out and about being affectionate. In February 2022they split after less than one year of dating. The former couple never confirmed they were together nor spoke about their breakupbut a source told People“They’ve been over for a bit now.”

At least one fan suggested that “Vampire” was about Faze because of the timing of the song’s release.

Zack Bia: 2022

Rodrigo was spotted with Zack Bia in February 2022 at a Super Bowl party and then in New York City soon afterward. A source told E!, “He invited her to Super Bowl parties that he was DJing that weekendand she went to support him. They hit it off and have been casually hanging out.”

By the summerthings seemed to have run their course.

A source told Us Weekly in August 2022“Their relationship sort of fizzled. They were casually dating but haven’t spent time together in a while. There were no issues—they both have different work schedules and different friend groups.”

But there was of course speculation that Bia was the “fame sucker” Rodrigo was singing about. In a September 2023 interview with GQBia said“I don’t think it’s really about me. I think the internet just ran with it."

He added that he “knows how a song gets made,” but didn’t think there was any big drama in their connection.

“We hung outwe’re both busyand we ended up not furthering our relationship,” he explained. “There was never any dramayou know?”

Louis Partridge: 2023-Now

Rodrigo and Enola Holmes actor Louis Partridge were first linked in October 2023 after being seen together in London looking very cuddly. At the timeThe Sun reported that she traveled to England just to hang out with him.

“Olivia flew to London with her best palsinger Conan Graybut it was Louis who she came to see,” an insider said. “They met through mutual pals earlier in the year and have been messaging quite a bit. She has spent a few days in the capital hanging out with them allbut it’s been Louis who she has been inseparable from. They have been for dinners and nights out. They hit a club together on Friday night and were acting very coupley. It’s really sweet to see her happy.”

Partridge attended Rodrigo’s Jingle Ball performance in December 2023 and was seen with her friends Conan Gray and Madison Hu. He was also at the Saturday Night Live after-party following her turn as a musical guestand Just Jared reported they left in a car together.
