Blaze Black 2 & Volt White 2 – Item & Trade Changes

Overview

As with the first Blaze Black and Volt Whitemany item balls found around the region have had their contents changed. This lets you pick up important TMs much earlier than in the original gamewhich typically locked nicer TMs like Earthquake and Stone Edge behind the Elite Four.

Evolution stones and other key items are also available much soonerwhich matters since far more Pokémon are now accessible — you'll want to reach their final forms without unnecessary delays.

A few secondary PokéMart inventories have been updated as well:

  • Virbank City now sells Luxury Balls
  • Driftveil City carries all four shards and Heart Scales
  • Route 9 Dept. Store stocks a wide assortment of evolution items — most importantly the ElectirizerMagmarizerand Dubious Discso keep it in mind

Every in-game trade not involving Yancey or Curtis has been edited. Post-game trades received an IV boostwhile the three pre-credits trades feature entirely new Pokémon — both what you give and what you receive. Everything is obtainable naturallythough some trades are particularly worthwhile.
