OneDrive error code 0x8004de26
We are a school system and are having an issue with our OneDrive app not allowing us to sign in. Things had been working until about 2 weeks ago and things stopped. We are having the issue across multiple users. We are on Windows 11 laptops and desktops and are trying to sign into the app to get items saved in on the desktop to syn with OneDrive accounts in the cloud. The sign-in process either simply spins or we get error code0x8004de26. I am wondering if anyone has resolved the same issue or has ideas? Thank you.
OneDrive Personal folder redirecting to OneDrive Enterprise
I am having a new issue with my work computer (AD registered) that has been working correctly for about five years with both my O365 and my personal OneDrive accounts. Both OneDrive folders are unique to each other in the root of my user folderthey are not sharing a common directory / folder and they have unique names too. (noted as problem for some users) However something has occurred in the last month (not sure of precise date) where my personal OneDrive account stopped syncing correctly. It will not upload or download files. It indicates it's synchronized but if you change files in the cloud or on the local machine it will not actually transfer anything. I tried performing a link and unlink and also tried performing a onedrive.exe /reset and neither has worked to restore operation. When relinking OneDrive it will pop up an error message saying "we're having trouble connecting to the onedrive service" when it's starting it's linking process and shows the initial folders to potentially be backed up (which I'm not using on this machine). So one thing I noticed during my troubleshooting is that if I double-click on my Personal OneDrive folder it redirects to my Enterprise OneDrive folder. I'm wondering if some kind of loop is being createdeven though each OneDrive account has a unique folder that has a unique name it keeps redirecting to the Enterprise folder. I'm wondering during startup is the same thing happening and the OneDrive Personal instance is getting redirected too and creating some kind of weird loop or something? I've even tried exiting the OneDrive Enterprise client while the OneDrive Personal client is starting and still the same result. I'm totally stumped at this point...Unusual behaviour on my PC. Access to all Microsoft services blocked.
One Drive does not connect. Microsoft.com loads on Chrome & Firefox but the link to the Microsoft account login page is dead. Outlook.com does not load at all. Connect to VPN (same country) and access to all Microsoft services reappears. Disconnect from VPNconnect to mobile hotspot (different ISP) and problem appears again. Reinstalled windows and problem persists. Wiped HDD and installed Linux and the unusual behaviour continues on Firefox and Chromium. Weird! All other devices on broadband and mobile internet are behaving normally. Any ideas? Curse? Nation-State?
Force OneDrive/Excel to return the local file path instead of a cloud URL
Hello I have all my 3D models stored in a OneDrive-synced folderincluding the Excel file that controls many of the model parameters. I work on three different PCsso using OneDrive for synchronization would be ideal. Howevermy modeling software Solid Edge runs into a specific issue: it does find the linked Excel file in the OneDrive-synced folder and attempts to open itbut as soon as it tries to read the parametersit gets stuck in an endless loop. The reason is that Excel no longer provides a normal local Windows file path for the workbook—even though the file is fully available offline. InsteadExcel exposes the OneDrive/SharePoint URLand Solid Edge cannot process this URLwhich causes the loop. What I have tried so far: Enabled “Keep files on this device” for the entire project folder Completely shut down OneDrive (disabled it and killed all OneDrive processes in Task Manager) Tried changing the stored Excel path inside Solid Edge from a local path to the OneDrive URL — Solid Edge does not accept URLs as valid paths None of these attempts solved the issue. If anyone has a reliable method to make Solid Edge read a OneDrive-synced Excel file as a local file pathI would really appreciate your help.
Fresh Win11 installfresh Office365 installOnedrive backup no connection to OneDrive-service
Hi community got a new laptop with win11. fresh installation Installed Office 365 (family license) as first package. No firewall/Antivirus other backup software installed. Onedrive says it´s connected. But if I start to select folders (documents/pictures) to automatically backupthe feedback is "Problem with connecting to the onedrive-service" File length or file names can´t be the issuesame error if folders are empty (fresh installation) No matter if I´m connected through my router (LAN/WLAN)hotspot on my mobile phoneneighbour´s network. Tried all resetting options Microsoft and web search is giving. No other result. Can anyone help me? trying to reach the support leads to "this support is currently not available"How to delete old OneDrive folder from computer
PreviouslyI used OneDrive with one account and have now unlinked that account from OneDrive. After thatI deleted the OneDrive app on my computer and reinstalled the OneDrive app and logged into the new account. HoweverI cannot delete the old OneDrive folder from my computer. It keeps giving me errors and won't let me delete it. Please help me and show me how to delete the old OneDrive folder".tmp.driveupload"
I am having an issue where my word doc (set to autosave to OneDrive business desktop app) on my PC is suddenly saved in a ".tmp.driveupload" folder online under a different file name (random numbers)with autosave switched off. If I do not notice this happeningthe change to the document is not saved under the expected folder and file nameresulting in no change made to the file I opened. The only workaround I've found is to "save a copy" and overwrite the file I opened in the original folder. This only works if I notice the sudden name change and file save in the tmp folder. If I don'tthe changes are lost because the tmp file is deleted (to recycle bin) on exit and the tmp folder is not synced to my PC. I have to go online to the OneDrive business websiteguess which file it may berestore that from the OneDrive recycle binand hope it is the file I was looking for. The frequency of this happening means that there are numerous tmp files under pseudo file names to scour through. One-hour plus on the phone with MS Office subscription support is of no help.
Microsoft 365 OneDrive Android (OxygenOS 13.1) login fails with WebView / Error 2604
On OneDrive Android applogin through Microsoft 365 work / corporate profile fails and always ends up with either blank screen or "No Internet connection" error 2604. Here's the details: Device & Environment: Device: OnePlus 8 Pro (IN2023) OS Version: OxygenOS 13.1 (build IN2023_13.1.0.591(EX01)) Android System WebView Version: 142.0.7444.102 App Affected: OneDrive (latest version from Google Play26th Nov 2025) Network: Wi-Fi / Cellular (both tested) VPN/ Private DNS / AdBlockers: Disabled Problem Description: Attempting to log in to OneDrive using a corporate/work Microsoft 365 account: The login screen either shows a blank white screen or fails immediately with Error 2604: “No network”despite internet connectivity being functional. Logging in with the same credentials in Chrome worksconfirming network is not the issue. Issue persists after clearing app datareinstalling OneDriveupdating Chromeupdating Android System WebViewand ensuring all app permissions and background data settings are correct. Steps to Reproduce: Start with OnePlus 8 Pro (IN2023) running OxygenOS 13.1 Ensure Android System WebView is version 142.0.7444.102 Install latest OneDrive app from Google Play Open OneDrive and attempt to log in with corporate/work Microsoft 365 credentials Observe blank screen or error 2604 Expected Behavior: OneDrive should allow login with corporate Microsoft 365 account Embedded WebView authentication should complete successfully Account token should be saved for ongoing use Additional Notes: Problem appears specific to embedded WebView login on this OS/device combination Likely a systemic issue affecting Microsoft 365 apps relying on WebView for login flows on OxygenOS 13.1 Logging in to a personal outlook.com microsoft account works normally. Henceit seems to be tied to the WebView failure. Is there any fix to this?
