The Chicago Blackhawks announced today the opening night roster which includes 22 players: 13 forwardsseven defensemen and two goaltenders.

Defenseman Caleb Jones (right shoulder) and forward Boris Katchouk (left ankle sprain) will begin the season on injured reserve. Forward Jalen Luypen (left shoulder)and defensemen Jake McCabe (neck) and Ian Mitchell (left wrist) will begin the season with an injured/non-roster designation. Forward Jason Dickinson will also begin the season with a non-roster designation due to immigration.
The Blackhawks begin the 2022-23 regular-season schedule on WednesdayOctober 12 at Ball Arena in DenverColorado against the Avalanche at 8:30 p.m. CT. That game can be seen nationally on TNT and heard on WGN Radio.
