Joe was born on June 181947to the late Anthony Louis Clemente and Catherine Mary Clemente. He is survived by his wife of 24 yearsSheryl Clemente.

Joe was a proud Vietnam veteranhaving served two tours with the United States Marine Corps. During his servicehe was awarded three Purple Hearts for his bravery. He was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in both Clayton and Hiawasseeas well as the American Legion and the Marine Corps League.

He spent most of his life in BuffaloNew Yorkbefore moving to TampaFloridawhere he met his wifeSheryl. Togetherthey later relocated to ClaytonGeorgia.

In addition to his wifeSherylhe is survived by three children: Christopher Clemente (Erin)Anthony “Tony” Michael Clementeand Katie Clemente; grandchildren: Juliette ClementeAnthony Clementeand Marley Clemente; and two stepchildrenAmy and Brian.

A memorial service will be held on SaturdayMay 102025 at 3:00 pm at the Hiawassee VFW post #78071329 Sunnyside Rd. HiawasseeGA 30546.
