Appraisal Review Board Candidate – 01/14/2026

The primary responsibility of the ARB is to weigh evidence provided by both taxpayers and Appraisal District staff and resolve matters relating to appraisalexemptionsspecial valuations and challenges that cannot be resolved informally.


Applicants must have resided in Live Oak County for at least two yearsbe current on property tax paymentsnot be an employee or officer of a taxing unit served by the Live Oak Co. Appraisal District. Applicant must have the ability to communicate with the publicattend training sessions conducted by the Texas Comptrollers and attend ARB hearings in person for 6-7 regular meetings per year from May – July. Appointed members will serve a two-year term and are compensated.
