So I'm thinking about getting a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler for my stock 2008 Ram 1500 5.7 quad single pipe. Would this been a good option for my truck?
Oh I found it online for around 90 bucks and I'm not sure the in out size yet.
Thanks

I've got the Flowmaster 40 series on my 5.7 and it sounds beautiful.

It's not too loud in the cab at all and the sound on the exterior is loud but not enough to be annoying at all after a while. It's just the perfect amount of throatty and sweet V8 rumble.

Flowmasters sound goodbut they rust very quickly.

I would have bought something made from stainlessbut that is me. I have had 3 different trucks with FMand they all rusted out in 2-3 years.

Just paint it with high temp paint after its welded in and touch it up one or twice a year. I ram my Delta flow 40 in the sand racing and it lasted almost 6 years.

I recommend a Borla...a unique deep mellow rumble...not too loud. Check my truck mods link for a good video of how it sounds with the 5.7.

I agree on the borlaI bought a dual cat-back system for my truckand it was super easy to installand sounds awesome. and it definately performs better. You pay more but in my opinion you get what you pay for. Borla exhaust are made from 304 stainless and just wont rust.
