Toucans are tropical forest birds recognized for their oversizedvividly patterned bills that can be nearly half their body length. Found from Mexico to Brazilthey inhabit rainforest canopiesforest edges and plantations. Habitat and distribution
Toucans are distributed from southern Mexico to northern Argentina. They inhabit tropical rainforestsforest edges and plantations where fruit is abundant.
Diet
Their main diet is fruitbut they also eat insectslizards and eggs. This variety supports both survival and seed dispersal.
Appearance
Toucans are known for their largelightweight bills marked with bright patterns. Plumage is usually black with colorful throats and rumps.
