New HBO Max TV Shows and Movies in February 2026

After a January packed with big premieres — The Pitt Season 2Industry Season 4and the Game of Thrones prequel A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms — HBO is slowing down in February. The biggest TV premiere is a new season of Last Week Tonight with John Oliverbut we're also keeping our eye on Neighborsan enigmatic new series executive produced by Marty Supreme director Josh Safdie.

On the movies endEmma Thompson is venturing into the dead of winter in the seasonally appropriate thriller Dead of Winter. If you're looking for something a little lightermaybe check out the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiterwhich features the voices of Cole EscolaJulio TorresEva Victorand more. Lookit's a light monthbut at least there are new episodes of The Pitt every week.

The best new HBO Max movies and shows in February

HBO Max streams all HBO shows and movies when they debut on HBO. But not all shows and movies on HBO Max make it to HBO. We'll designate HBO Max exclusives where appropriate.

Neighbors (Feb. TBDHBO)

There's very little to be known about the new Josh Safdie-produced series Neighborsbut the involvement of Marty Supreme director Safdie and his frequent collaborator Ronald Bronstein isat the very leastintriguing. HBO describes it as an examination of "absurdoutrageousand dramatic real-life residential conflicts from a wide range of larger-than-life characters across the United States," which will have to hold us all over until it premieres.

Boys Go to Jupiter (Feb. 6HBO)

Despite the animation this surreal coming-of-age film is not a video game. It follows a teenager in suburban Florida whose desperate quest to make $5,000 gets derailed by the arrival of an alien.
