1. common强调“常见的”、“ 不足为奇的”，共同的，公共的，公有的，普通的，庸俗的，伪劣的。如：
　　①Snow is common in cold countries.在寒冷的国家雪是常见的。
　　②The common man in every country is anxious for world peace.每个国家的老百姓都渴望世界和平。
　　③常见词组：
　　common interests.共同利益；
　　the common people老百姓；
　　common knowledge常识；

　　固定用法：
　　1）out of (the) common不寻常的， 特殊的
　　2）in common with和…一样。如：

　　in common是“共同、共有、共用”的意思。例如：

　　②Give me a general idea of the work.告诉我这件工作的概括情况。
