He is an assistant clinical professor of both dermatology and pediatrics and an assistant professor of pathology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony BrookNew York.

Dr. Daly earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women's Hospitalfollowed by a dermatology residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicinewhere he served as dermatology chief resident and graduated in the top 7% of all medical residents in the country. He remained at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for a fellowship in dermatopathology. He is board certified in dermatologydermatopathologyand pediatric dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Daly’s scientific interests include pediatric dermatologydermatopathologyand diseases of the hair. He has authored publications in a number of journalsincluding the New England Journal of Medicineand a book chapter on epithelialization in wound healing. Dr. Daly is an experienced teacher and lecturer. He regularly delivered lectures to pediatric and dermatology residents at the Metropolitan Hospital in New York City and at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr. Daly was also a Grand Rounds presenter on the topics of herpesalopeciaviral illnessesand connective tissue disease. As a professor at Hofstra Universityhe taught dermatology to students in the Physician Assistant Studies Program.

Dr. Daly is a member of the National Psoriasis Foundationthe American Society of Dermatopathologyand many other professional dermatology societies. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology.
