Hi waynellis

Data encrypted with end-to-end encryption is protected by the highest level of securityand includes things like payment infomessages stored in iCloudhealth dataand passwords stored in iCloud Keychain. Resetting end-to-end encryption means that specific data wouldn't be available on the new device.

The following page provides additional information about end-to-end encryption: iCloud security overview

The option to reset this data may appear if your wife is prompted to enter the passcode of another device but is unable to remember itif she's being prompted to approve from another device and opts not toor doesn't have another device she can approve the new device from.

Resetting this datawould reset all the data protected with end-to-end encryption as outlined in the article abovebut wouldn't affect other iCloud data like photoscontactsor calendars. After resetting itshe'll be able to resume using end-to-end encryption for new data on the new device.

We hope this answers your question!
