Wanda Edwards Beam69passed away peacefully on December 202024at her home in ShelbyNC. Born in Polk County on January 41955she was the daughter of the late James Edwards and Geraldine Conner Harris.
Wanda dedicated more than 50 years to her loving career as a beauticiancherishing the opportunity to serve her clients. She had a deep love for animalsespecially horsesand found great joy in riding. Above allshe adored her family and treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her devoted husband of 51 yearsKenneth Lee Beam; her childrenJada Henderson (Matt) and Jason Beam (Brittany); and her seven grandchildren: Baylee Beam (Luke)Carson Beam (Gracie)Gracie BeamEmmalyn BeamKason BeamWalker Hendersonand Makenna Henderson. She was also blessed with a great-grandsonHolland Sanford.
She is also survived by her best friendDebbie Bridges-Webb; her brothersMike Edwards (Anita); Ken Harris (Denise); sisterEva Harris; and her nieceRachel Harris.
A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on SundayDecember 222024at Pleasant City Church in Shelby with Pastor Bryan Glisson sharing words of encouragement. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
