Unfortunately this didn't work.
Also in the page settings on the top right there is a toggle to "turn off new MSN" and that doesn't work either.

My MSN webpage has been automatically changed on my laptop to the new format which doesn't group stories. There is a link at the top to "return to classic MSN" but when I click itit doesn't change anything. Is there another way to switch it back to the old format which is much more user friendly for larger devices?
SOLUTION! Thank you Paddy! His response is near the bottom of the first page but here it is:
If you click on the small settings cog/icon and switch from English UK to English USA it will allow you to switch back to original MSN page.
Once you are back to the original MSN page change back from English USA to English UK.
If you are in the USA and having the same problem I do not know if trying the reverse of the above will work.

Yephaving the same issue. Both the link on the webpage and the settings change just rotate you back to the new look. This applies at home AND work machine. Just another broken mess by Microsoft.
The new homepage is just a random mess of random boxes on the screen and is pathetic. Who actually thought this was a good look?
Hi Don Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately that didn't work either. I should also note I use google as my browserbut it's the same if I use Edge.
OK. Other suggestions:
From the search box (Windows key) Search for CMD.
At the flashing cursor type in ipconfig /flushdns (note the space between config and / ) hit [Enter]
Close the CMD window.
Don
This solution worked and I now have the classic MSN page backso thanks for the solution :-)
Hey up there. An update offering to "Return to the classic MSN homepage"
could be a fake update or scam. if it doesn't makeany changes when
click it. Better close the rectangular - Pop up from its [X] at
the end : Restart the PC to remove it. MSoft not
longer ask to "Return to MSN Homepage"
