Certificated employeesincluding Managementwho are benefit eligible may elect coverage under one of the plans selected by the Insurance Committee. Medical plans are provided through the Self-Insured Schools of California (SISC). Benefit eligible employees may select coverages for medicaldentalvision and life insurance per Article 13 of the VUSD-VTA contract.

Employees may also choose to take advantage of the Flexible Benefit Plan offered by the District. Administered by American Fidelity Assurance Companythe plan allows employee to take pre- tax deductions for costs such as medical expenses and child care costs.
