巴西联邦共和国（The Federative Republic of Brazil），简称巴西，是南美洲最大的国家，金砖国家之一、南美洲国家联盟成员、里约集团创始国之一，南方共同市场、20国集团成员国，不结盟运动观察员，有“足球王国”的美誉。 巴西与乌拉圭、阿根廷、巴拉圭、玻利维亚、秘鲁、哥伦比亚、委内瑞拉、圭亚那、苏里南、法属圭亚那十国接壤，国土总面积851.49万平方公里，居世界第五；有26个州和1个联邦区（巴西利亚联邦区），州下设市，总人口2.01亿。 历史上巴西曾为葡萄牙的殖民地，1822年9月7日宣布独立。 巴西拥有丰富的自然资源和完整的工业基础，国内生产总值位居南美洲第一，为世界第七大经济体。巴西的文化具有多重民族的特性，有来自欧洲、非洲、亚洲等地区的移民。 2014年、2016年，巴西是世界杯、奥运会举办国。 2016年5月12日，罗塞夫被强制离职最长达180天，副总统特梅尔出任代总统，8月31日成为正式总统。 2018年6月4日，巴西央行发布报告显示，巴西金融机构下调今年经济增长预期，同时上调了该国通胀预期。
