“六廊六路多国多港”是共建“一带一路”的主体框架。其中，“六廊”是指新亚欧大陆桥、中蒙俄、中国—中亚—西亚、中国—中南半岛、中巴和孟中印缅等六大国际经济合作走廊。“六路”是指铁路、公路、航运、航空、管道和空间综合信息网络。“多国”是指一批先期合作国家。“多港”是指若干保障海上运输大通道安全畅通的合作港口。2019年4月，习近平主席在第二届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛开幕式上指出：“在各方共同努力下，‘六廊六路多国多港’的互联互通架构已基本形成”。
