This is also possible via Group Policy for Pro upwards users:
2 Options to Remove the Lock Option from Windows Start Menu | Password Recovery

And to note: exactly as stated in the Group Policy descriptionall this does is to remove the option from the Start Menu - Windows key + L will still lock the computer if this is in force.

Registry hack not working for me

I've set thisand the control l key is still activehowever it seems to switch the computer into some sort of assisted mode where the keyboard does not work as usualand instead does things related to navigating the UI.

I've also got a bunch of alternative language packs installed on my computerincluding simplified Chineseand it seems to be sometimes involved in flipping the machine into its shortcut Chinese typing mode.

I'd be very happy for a solutionas I'm an artistand control L should invoke the levels panel in Photoshopwhich is something I need to do many times daily sometimes.

    Hello Zab

I just tested on my systemand still only disables the ability to lock the computer without any other side effects.

Do you have anything else installed that may be a cause?
