Biography

Kaitlin Olson is an American TV & movie actressShe is popular for playing the role of Sweet Dee in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia- the longest running live TV show.

 

Childhood- Family

Kaitlin Willow Olson was born on 18th August 1975 in Portland (actually in a town called Tigardabout 15 mnutes outside Portland)Oregon to Donald Olson(Father)- a publisher by profession &Melinda Olson(Mother). She grew up at the family farm in Tualatin.

Bicycle Accident: When she was 12 she hit her bicycle to a moving vehicle causing herself severe injury. Part of her skull underwent surgery. Her bike landed on her headher teeth were shoved back. Her head was bleedingthe handle bar had pressed so hard on her skull that she had a hole in her head. She was bald all through the semester in her junior high.

Education

• University of Oregon: She has a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Oregon
• The Groundlings Theatre: after her degree at the University of Oreganshe moved to Los Angeles she joined "The Groundlings Theatre" in Hollywooda training institute with popular alumni such as Will Ferrell and Phil Hartman. Her presence in The groundlings "Sunday Company' (Writing and performance of sketch comedy every Sunday night) gave her an opportunity to showcase her talents which eventually got her role in Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000).

 

Marriage

Kaitlin Olson & Rob McElhenney

Kaitlin was hired by Rob through an audition for the show It's always sunny in Philadelphia. When they met Kaitlin was dating another guyduring the second season of the showthe couple got closer and started dating (they went to Big Bear for their first date) for an year and half before getting engaged in December 2007the couple got married at Danny Devito's Malibu Beach house on 27th September 2008.

Kaitlin & husband Rob have two sonsolder son Axel Lee McElhenney born in 2010 & the younger son Leo Grey McElhenney born in 2012.

When Kaitlin was carrying their first childshe went into labor while watching the Philadelphia Phillies vs Los Angeles Dodgers gamethey went to the hospital in the middle of the gamethe baby boy was born healthy and weighed 8 pounds7 ounces.

Coivd Times: During the Covid times when going out was not allowedshe and children enjoyed playing video games together. [5]

Kaitlin Olson started her career at 'The   Groundlings'  an improv & sketch comedy group & school in Los Angeles.

She made her debut with the movie   Eyes to Heaven(2000)he first TV series was   Curb Your Enthusiasm(2000-2007).

She has appeared in movies like   Coyote Ugly(2000)Weather Girl(2009)Leap Year(2010)The Heat(2013)Vacation(2015). She lent her voice to the character named Destiny in the animation movie Finding Dory(2016).

she has had recurring roles in TV series like-  Curb Your EnthusiasmThe Drew Carey Show,  It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,  The Riches,  Unsupervised(voice)Brickleberry(voice)The Mick.
