It's kind of interesting---I would consider myself a fairly stable Christiannot involved in any type of spiritism etc---And yet for approximately 5 years now I have either awoken abruptly or randomly looked at a clock at exactly 11:11---Both morning and night----It's not just the time for meI see it constantly in all manner of ways----My daughter is aware that I have this going on and pointed out to me that on our computer there is a large greenish/yellow 11-11 that the last one in both 11's flashes off and on continuously(I'm watching it as I'm typing this)----If you google it you will find all kinds of forums addressing the issue---Most of them are pretty wacko though---As a Christian I did exactly what you did and looked up every verse in the Biblechapter 11 verse 11but to no personal satisfaction---Maybe the Lord will have something in store for us on 11/11/11????

Firstlythere is absolutely nothing meriting a need for prayer in this area. Numerology is a dead idea; theist and atheist alike understand that numbers are simply humanly concocted symbols used to signify values recognized by other humans. Even some animals recognize the ideas of "More" or "Less." Numbers are simply "Letters" or characters we have placed to denote how much more or less something is.

The significance of 11:11 is mootespecially when put in the context of all the other times you might look at a clock during the day. Do you think the time 3:16 bears any importancebecause of John's verse? Perhaps now you willbut I guarantee you that if you had lived even 150 years agobefore clocks and timezones were standardizedyou would have never even noticed. 11:11 bears no more significance than 12:34 or any other time of day. Seeking God's answers on this matter via prayer will ultimately lead you either to a dead endor a self-fulfilling response for several reasons...

1) Time is relativeand thusentirely subjective.

2) Numberswhich we humans use to denote timeare also entirely subjective with respect to humans. They are mutually agreed upon symbols for values whichwithout an observing body (us) would not exist. Sure1 would still be only 1but there would be nobody to call it 1if we weren't hereand so it would simply just be unrecognized or unvalued value.

3) You answer your own prayersdepending on what happens (or doesn't happen)or what you choose to read into a particular event.



Coincidence is a marvelous thingand speaking purely mathematically and statistically...it would be far more miraculous if you never saw 11:11 for the rest of your life. The odds are outrageously in favor of this event occurring repeatedly throughout your lifeand trying to make something of it puts you in the same silly place as those who think that they're cursed or use relatives' birth dates for lottery numbers.

Numberslike words only have the power over you that you allow them to. They are arbitrary and defined by us...only us. Outside of usthey are meaningless or nonexistent.

The fret not part of your post I would agree with----But the rest of your reasoningnot so much----I think the Lord uses numerology as well in His speaking to us through scripture---Think of the 7th daycompletion etc---The 666 of revelations as the number of a man---I realize that some go way over board with it all---Like Campings current May 21st rapture prediction etc.

The 11:11 thing is more like a reoccurring dream---It started with me at first as just thata dream seeing the figures 11:11 over and over again repeatedly---So yeahat first I was alarmed and a bit apprehensive and concerned to know if the Lord was trying to reveal something to me or was it an attack from the adversary----I experienced this for almost 2 years before I realized there were others(many thousands of others experiencing the same thing)---What is a little discouraging about it is that most of those experiencing it are seemingly unsaved----But I don't stress over it anymore and am sure if it were from the LordHe'd reveal it to me in a peaceful manner----So now I just basically ignore it.

It was either 11:11 or 23:23 (which is the same) IT WAS BEYOND COINCIDENCE!!!

I have searched everywhere for the meaningI accepted Jesus and had accepted that I will never know the answer or even the direction until tonight!! I was giving up!! 6 years and I have reasearched all numbers and wacko ideas. I lost hope until desperate tonight I prayed with my fingers on my laptop... And here I am!!!

So.. I just came across this thread from a google searchfinding it was posted and chatted 2 1/2 years ago. I usually am not that ignorant to things happening around me. Just this past yearmy sisters became involved with someone - a friend - that has claimed this very thing. She even writes a magazine called 11:11 published in Charleston SC. Nowshe plans to go on tourbeginning this monthwith my sistersher children and a couple othersto share her storyand her conversations with the universe. She blacked out one day in 'prayer' and woke up to see 11:11 everywhereand this is when she said the universe began speaking to her.
My family has been involved in many things through the yearsbut this has be concernedand in much prayer. God speaks to each of usif we are willing and able to hear Him. To Elijah it was in a still small voicebut to me it may through numbers as it happened to the sister in the OP. Deciding that God cannot move or speak in a particular way can quench the Holy Spirit. None of us who are believers want that.

Let us give God the glory for every time that He speaks to us and we hear Him... even if the vehicle He uses happens to be numbers

As far as the 11:11- you could do pick any combination and come up with a cool selection of scriptures. in fact the chapter and verse numbers were added long after the Bible was written; these were inserted for ease of finding scripture but not for mystic revelation.

My cautions were not intended to never listen but rather toas you say"seek His Voice". If He is always at our centerthen we will always hear what He is saying to us. Unfortunatelytoo manyincluding myselfhave been guilty too many times of quenching the Spirit.

I was led to this site and forumbut not exactly sure why. I see 11:11 all the timeand often screen capture it on my phone. I can't honestly tell anyone here that I believe it's divine interventionchanceor something else altogether. I do know I get whispers that guide me in a direction away from the path I might have otherwise taken. For exampleI was an overweight kidyoungest of 9and raised in an LDS house and town (MesaAZ). I was only one of two siblings to graduate high school and I hated sports and physical activity. I wound up joining and serving in the Marines. I signed up my senior year at age 17and missed the first Gulf War by a few months. I got marriedhad a couple of boysand wound up getting a divorce at the same time I was getting out. I got out of the Marines on 12 Sep 2001 after going blind. My wife at the time was in the Pentagon when the plane hit. My birthday is on Veteran's DayNovember 11th (11/11)and recently (within the past couple of years)I've been seeing 11:11 all the time. I'm not sure if it's binary code for something (1+2+4+8=15 hexadecimally) or what. I don't feel one way or the other about itbut it does give off the essence of that guiding voice I've heard throughout my life.

Nowwhat's really interesting is that going blind (mostlynot totally) has been an interesting ride to say the least. I met my wonderful wife and daughterwho just happened to be working in Blind Rehab at the VA medical center in TucsonAZ. I was the first child to get my bachelor's and masters degrees. I don't have to workbut it drives me crazy to sit around the house and do nothing. I went through a very rough time with massive depressionself-medicationangerweight issuesand massive anxiety. After finishing my masters in December 2013it's all gone awayexcept for some anxiety and depression. Most of it is pretty peaceful with little bumps every so often (not like the roller coaster from before). The thing isI'm taking on the entire profession of Blind Rehabbecause they have been doing some shady stuff with my certificate exam. In my lifeI never had a run-in with the lawbut for some reason nowI was compelled to file a discrimination complaint with the Attorney General's office. I don't want their moneyI just want to see things right. ACVREP is the only certifying body for Blind Rehab professionalsand they are doing wrong to both a client and consumer. Other blind people in the field have had major issue with thembut didn't stand up to the bully. SomehowI feel that this is the beginning of my calling; to advocate for the blindto have to be blinded to understand what I'm fighting for. Going blind is not the path I would have voluntarily chosen for myself.

Solong story shortI was led to this group for a reason. I'm not exactly sure whybut I was encouraged to share my storyas I believe it's supposed to be a guide a for others along their journey. Maybe 11:11 is just a signpost to let us all know who are looking for itthat you're on the path that's right for you. I'd like to think so anyway.

As far as I can seeGod created us to know the freedom of his love by which we would follow his will.

Free-will is a very diverse subject and widely debated as to how it applys.

But the one thing that is for certain is that the extent of the freedom most men make claim to today was an abuse of the freedom which God gave them.

The time is short. There is no room for doubt about that. The heads of the nations are getting ready to destroy all religious freedom and that is the very next thing you will see.

I cannot say as we who make claim to be Christian have not helped to bring this about. For we feud and argue like children unable to reach agreement on much. And that has turned multitudes against religion.

I am not sure that your 11:11 theory is or is not anything. Butfor now let us concentrate on storing up that incorruptable seed of life in us by trying to correctly understand it and make it a permanent part of us. Forit won't be long and what you have stored in your heart is all you will have.

That period of time will not last long but it will last long enough to shake away those who did not have enough love to gather it into their hearts with understanding.
